Don't worry about the timetable, there's a donkey! - Susan, California

According to the timetable it was already running a little late, and my friend and I were eager to get our day of absorbing Spanish culture started. Finally, all the kids were boarded, seated, and ready to go. Next thing we there was a shriek from one of the children at the back.. When everyone looked around to see what the rustle was about, they saw a lone donkey calmly munching outside the bus. In a flash, all the kids AND the bus driver scrambled off the bus to go and see the donkey! After about 10 minutes of fawning over their newfound furry friend, they all got back on and the driver headed off. Although I was mildly annoyed at first, I thought it was so nice that they just put the fun and pleasure of seeing the donkey ahead of everything else, including the timetable! And, if you think about it, our day of sightseeing could not have started with a better reminder to slow down and enjoy our vacation, savoring every unexpected moment.
